New Pallet Racking is best described as an efficient and flexible solution for warehouses and distribution centers that need quick and direct access to their palletized inventory.
Selective pallet racking is a type of storage system used in warehouses and distribution centers to efficiently store and organize palletized goods. It is one of the most common and widely used racking systems due to its versatility and ease of access.
Each pallet can be accessed individually without the need to move other pallets. This allows for easy and direct access to any pallet in the system, making it suitable for businesses with a wide variety of products or fast-moving inventory.
The racking system consists of multiple vertical frames or uprights, available in Roll Form or Structural, and horizontal beams that create levels to store pallets. Pallets can be stored on multiple levels, maximizing vertical space in the warehouse.
In most cases, Roll Form racking systems required no hardware and can be quickly assembled and adjusted as needed.
The beams are adjustable, allowing the height of each level to be modified according to the height of the stored goods. By simply lifting and unattaching the beams, you can raise and or lower the beams as required. This flexibility accommodates pallets of various sizes.
Depending on storage needs, selective rack is First-In-First-Out (FIFO) or Last-In-First-Out (LIFO): Depending on the storage and retrieval method implemented, selective pallet racking can support both FIFO and LIFO inventory management strategies.
